Who repleno is not for

repleno is deliberately not the right solution when:

A full-scale ERP system is needed

repleno deliberately has NO:

• Financial accounting or controlling
• CRM (customer management)
• Time tracking or payroll
• Quote creation or invoicing
• Project management tools

→ If you need these functions integrated, an ERP system is a better choice.

Complex production logic is required

repleno deliberately has NO:

• Multi-level BOMs (only single-level for assembly)
• Production planning or machine control
• Production scheduling or monitoring

→ Example: If you manufacture nested assemblies (assembly contains assembly), you need a production system. For simple assembly (control cabinet from individual parts, safety vest from cut pieces) repleno with BOMs fits well.

Industries with special requirements

Typically NOT suitable:

• Gastronomy (perishable goods, recipe management, allergens)
• Retail (POS integration, cash register system required)
• Complex production (multi-level BOMs, production control)

Complete replacement for Kanban/RFID

repleno does NOT replace existing Kanban or RFID systems, but can be used in parallel for items outside these systems. repleno deliberately omits many complicated functions of large systems to remain simple, understandable, and maintainable.

Less complexity is not a shortcoming here, but part of the concept, so it actually gets used in practice.
