Why only one location in the repleno beta phase?
Focus on Simplicity
repleno starts with one location. This is not a technical limitation, but a conscious decision: simplicity before completeness. Most companies have a central warehouse – for them, one location is enough.
Why this limitation?
Simplicity:
- One location means less complexity in the system
- No questions like "Where is what?" or "From which warehouse to withdraw?"
- Faster start, less training effort
Focus:
- repleno focuses on replenishment, not warehouse management - even though it's part of it
- Multi-location brings new challenges (e.g. transfers, relocations, inventory per location)
- MVP phase: First the important things, then the complex ones
For whom is one location sufficient?
For most companies:
- Small to medium warehouse (up to 1,000 items)
- One central location
- Workshop, production, crafts, service providers
When does multi-location become important?
For larger companies:
- Multiple locations (e.g. warehouse + external warehouse)
- Production halls with decentralized warehouses
- Construction sites with their own material
- Service vehicle as storage location
For these cases, multi-location is planned (Scale package, expected Q3 2026).
Workarounds for now
Until multi-location is available:
- Separate Accounts: One repleno account per location (works, but cumbersome, since separate systems)
- Manual Coordination: Central ordering, local distribution
None of these workarounds are perfect – but they work for the transition.
Roadmap: When does multi-location come?
Planned for Scale package (Q3 2026):
- Multiple locations per account
- Transfers between locations
- Inventory per location
- Orders per location
Best Practices
- Start with one central location (simplest solution)
- If you have multiple locations: create separate accounts
- Give feedback: What do you need from multi-location? (helps us with prioritization)
In short: One location is sufficient for most companies. Multi-location is coming – but only when the foundation is solid.
