Zoho Inventory

Bottom line

Different scope, not different quality: Zoho Inventory covers purchasing, selling, shipping and the warehouse in one product, and warehousing is one of six feature blocks within it. repleno consists of that one block alone, built out for the German business.

Is Zoho Inventory a warehouse tool?

In part. Zoho groups the product into six blocks itself: purchasing, warehousing, order fulfillment, inventory, order management, and automation and analytics. Warehousing is one of them and holds multiple warehouses, transfer orders, picklists and bin locations. The larger part of the product is about buying and selling: purchase orders, vendor payments, sales orders, shipping, invoicing, returns. So the more useful question before comparing is which of those blocks is your topic. If it is selling and shipping, Zoho Inventory is built for it and repleno does not cover it. If it is what sits on the shelf — scanning, multiple stock locations, a complete history, reordering — you are comparing one of six blocks with a product that consists of nothing else.

What is Zoho Inventory built for, and what is repleno built for?

Zoho Inventory is built for retailers who sell across multiple channels: sales orders from Shopify, Amazon or eBay come together, shipping runs through connected carriers, and as part of the Zoho suite it ties into Zoho Books and CRM. For businesses with strong online sales, that is a real advantage. repleno starts somewhere else: it is dedicated inventory management for German small businesses where the physical stock is the focus, not the sales channel. Scan on mobile at the shelf, keep multiple stock locations, hold a GoBD-compliant history and a reorder point that triggers on its own. If you sell heavily through online shops, Zoho plays to its strength. If you care about day-to-day warehouse work in the business, repleno is closer to it.

How well does Zoho Inventory fit the German market?

Zoho offers more European proximity than many expect. At sign-up you choose an EU data center in Amsterdam or Dublin, and on zoho.eu there are euro prices and a German interface. The limits are in the detail. Zoho Inventory is a globally developed product: the German translation exists, but German legal and accounting specifics are not its focus, and support runs mostly in English. repleno is built for the German market from the start: German-language, support from Germany and a stock history that keeps every movement GoBD-compliant and traceable for eight years. If you value a German fit and contacts in your own language, you find that more directly with repleno.

Does repleno reorder automatically, unlike Zoho Inventory?

Yes, and you set the level of automation yourself. Zoho Inventory knows reorder points and reminds you when an item needs reordering; you then place the order. In repleno you decide per item what happens at the reorder point: only warn, put an order forward for approval, or trigger it automatically with the supplier. That way the level of automation grows with your trust. On top of that, repleno spots fast and slow movers per item and derives suggestions for minimum and reorder levels. repleno stays a full inventory management system with scanning, multiple stock locations and a complete history; the reorder point is one strength of it, not the whole product.

Replenishment mode

Define what happens when the reorder point is reached.

What does repleno cost compared to Zoho Inventory?

Zoho Inventory charges by order volume per organization. There is a free plan with 50 orders per month, one user and two warehouses; the paid plans scale up by orders per month. Extra users, additional locations and advanced warehouse features come on top as add-ons. On zoho.eu the prices are shown in euros. repleno charges by item count in euros, all users included, with no order limit and no fee per login. As your team grows, the bill does not grow with every user. It is best to check the current prices directly with each provider.
