Item Management

Understand the role of item master data in repleno and why supplier, packaging unit, minimum stock, and status are the foundation for reliable inventory and ordering.

Items are the centerpiece: without maintained master data, there is no reliable automation.

What repleno needs for every item

  • Supplier and supplier item number: Who supplies it, and under what number? Without a supplier item number, the supplier does not know what is being ordered and needs to be delivered.
  • Packaging unit: How does the material come in, and how is it counted? 1 carton = 100 pieces. Without this, repleno cannot correctly convert quantities.
  • Minimum stock (reorder point): At what quantity is a need triggered?
  • Storage location and bin: Where is the item? Employees search directly in repleno and immediately see the exact location. Without a storage location, the search stays manual.
  • Status: Is the item active in the ordering process or not?

What happens without complete data

  • No supplier item number: the supplier does not know what to deliver.
  • Wrong or missing packaging unit: repleno orders the wrong quantity or cannot convert stock levels.
  • No minimum stock: no automatic need is triggered, stockout possible.
  • No storage location: employees cannot find the item via repleno and search as before.
  • Wrong status: active items are not ordered, or discontinued items trigger orders.
