Site and storage location

Two levels with different jobs:

• Storage location is stock-bearing. This is where stock, reorder point, and maximum stock sit.
• Site groups storage locations, with its own access.

A storage location is therefore always the pair of both, and the same name can exist at several sites:

• Headquarters / Hall 1
• Bielefeld plant / Hall 1

There's a reason for that: every place has its own demand. A shortage in "Bielefeld plant / Hall 1" triggers demand right there, while the same item at headquarters stays untouched.

What a site bundles

• Delivery address: The site's address appears on every order to your suppliers. Goods go where they are needed.
• Order contact: The contact person's name and details appear on the site's orders, for your suppliers' follow-up questions.

Employees and sites

• Home site: Each employee can be assigned a default site. It is preselected in the scanner and the site picker, so nobody books at the wrong place.
• Restrict access: Optionally, you can limit an employee to specific sites. Without a restriction, they can reach every site of the account.

Replenishment from your own stock

A storage location can be the supply source of another. A central warehouse with high stock serves the small ones: when a small warehouse runs empty, it reports demand. repleno generates a pick list in the app. That pick list books the demand from the central warehouse by transfer. An external order only follows once the central warehouse itself drops below its reorder point and has an external supplier configured.

This saves external orders and consolidates purchasing. And when a storage location runs empty unexpectedly, repleno shows where the same item still sits.
